Named for the calyx
A calyx is the ring of sepals that holds a flower together before it opens. Calyx takes its name from it.
The mark is a flower drawn in interlaced strokes, and it also spells the name: C on the left, A at the top, a reversed L on the right, Y in the middle and X in the crossing strokes below.
Proven in printing first
Calyx Core was built first for printing businesses, and printing businesses use it today for quotes and orders, production tracking, stock and materials, and invoicing.
The direction from here
Shared modules, functionality for specific industries, and customisation for each customer: that is the direction for Calyx Core beyond printing, not what it does today.
